Christmas Party

Join us for our Christmas Party:

• Saturday, December 18 at 6:00 p.m.
• Potluck dinner at 6:00
• Dancing to live music at 7:00
• Other party dances and requests to recorded music later in the evening
  

Post-Thanksgiving Dancing & December dates

YES! We will be dancing the Friday after Thanksgiving. Come and burn off that pumpkin pie!

For DECEMBER:

• Regular Friday dancing on December 3 & 17
• No dancing on December 10 (studio in use for The Nutcracker at the Cascade Theatre)
• MAYBE dancing on December 24, 31, stay posted for updates and times if we do dance.

Halloween Party

This Friday, October 29 will be our Halloween Party! From about 7:00-10:00 p.m.

• Wear a costume (folk or halloween)
• Food (snacks & sweets) is potluck
• Decorations are also potluck. Bring some Halloween bling to liven up the place!
• LIVE MUSIC by our house band, plus party and request dances to recorded music.

October Parties

We'll be dancing all Fridays in October. Two of these will be special events. Mark your calendars!

• Friday, October 8 is Trader Joe's night. If you feel like it, bring a snack or treat to share from Trader Joe's. Or just come to dance!
• Friday, October 29 is a PARTY night, featuring a Halloween theme. Wear costumes (halloween, seasonal, or folk) and bring potluck fingerfoods to share. More details TBA. We may have live music.
  

Fall 2010

Starting the FIRST FRIDAY in SEPTEMBER, we're back to regular Friday night dancing!

Fridays 7:00-10:00 at the Redding Ballet Academie

We're cleared to dance each Friday through the fall months. Just stay posted for the Friday after Thanksgiving; sometimes we meet that evening, other times not.

Summer 2010

• We will be dancing Fridays through the end of June
• In July & August we will be on break and not dance on Fridays
• Summer Party: Friday June 25, 7:00 p.m.
• Celebrate with Mid-Summer Festivities
• Live music for dancing
• Wear white or red & white
• Fingerfoods and snacks by potluck

We'll have Friday night dancing through the month of June and then take off for July and August.

April 2010

Friday dancing is canceled for Friday, April 9. Many of us are traveling to the Arcata Folk Festival that weekend. Join us there!

We will be dancing all other Fridays in April, including the 2th, which happens to be Good Friday. Come and dance and work off your Easter dinner in advance.

March-April 2010

Dancing continues each Friday night at the Redding Ballet Academie. Meanwhile, spring is a busy time for Redding Folk Dancers.

• In March, some of our dancers attended the Camellia Festival in Sacramento. Representatives of our group also did a quick demo performance at for a multicultural event at Simpson University (dances were Kardamska Sborenka from Bulgaria and the modern, peppy version of Israeli Hineh Ma Tov).
• April brings us the Arcata Folk Festival on April 9-11.
• Stay posted for our end-of-the-dance-year, start-of-summer party in late June.

January-February 2010

We're back to our regular Friday nights schedule with one upcoming party night.

Friday, February 12: Valentine's Party, with potluck refreshments/fingerfoods, folk dance costumes encouraged. Dancing for all.
